Back on the Attack!!

OK so it has been a while since I was able to blog and I just realized that my goal I was trying to achieve was not even close to being met. SOOOO here I go again trying to accomplish more. I have finally gotten some more picture opportunities. I have had the privelege of taking pictures for some families and finally have some pictures in a magazine. My wife is just about ready to have our fourth baby and we cannot wait. Here are some of the newest pictures that I have taken.

 Here is my daughter and her cousin. They had just finished playing in the water and were very tired. I snapped this while they were sitting together by the palm tree.

 This is a nest that we found in the woods up behind Gunstock Ranch http://gunstockranch.com/. It was a fun and exciting day of horseback riding, hiking, swimming, roping, and the petting zoo. On our hike this little nest was on the ground and one of the little girls was carrying it around, I thought it was pretty!

 Some of my Seniors this year were willing to be my models in the forests of Malaekahana. Here is one of the angels that I found in the trees.

 I love the contrast of the red Prom dress and the green forest in the background.

 One of my friends lost her battle with breast cancer and this is from her grave. The pink plumerias and the white lei was so beautiful against the grey rocks I had to take a picture.

 This year I was able to participate with my kids and wife in Te Manahua, a celebration of Maori culture at the Polynesian Cultural Center http://www.polynesianculturalcenter.com/, in Laie. This is one of the pictures I took and I love it. This guys was an awesome example of my culture and this picture just stood out a lot to me.

I am working on my first children's book and need help with some ebook companies that will help me to publish them. Any ideas let me know!! Well that is my update for now. I will try and come on with some more pictures in the next few days. Nothing like having a goal, right?

Writers Block

My wife has started her new challenge so I am starting mine. She is off to new success with IsaGenix, I am off to new success with Canon. She is losing weight. I am gaining it. She is graduating from college and I am starting over. We both have started to blog it is some kind of couples therapy I guess. I have been trying to write a children's book for about 3 years now and every time I sit down I come up with new ideas. Which I guess is a good thing, but at the same time I never finish one idea and so as yet have still not created a book to sell. Now I have started a new hobby. My wife bought me a Canon EOS50D camera and it is awesome. I don't really know how to use it, but that's the great thing about this camera, it basically does everything for you. So now that I have writers block and don't know where to go with the stories I have started to take pictures. The first real picture day was with my family at the BYODO-IN Buddhist Temple http://www.byodo-in.com/ located in Temple Valley, Kahalu'u, Hawaii. If you are ever here and want to see something spectacular go to the temple. Besides the LDS Temple in Laie http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/laie/, it is one of the most breathtaking scenes you will find. My children love it because you can go and feed the koi and the birds. They come right up to you and eat out of your hands. After that great experience I took pictures for a friend of mine who just had a baby. It was a great learning experience. Since it was not my baby I felt strange telling them what to do. Their baby was a little restless and needless to say out of the couple hundred pictures we only got a few that turned out nice enough to show them. Well they liked them enough to tell another girl and that is where I got these pictures of baby Eden. while she was sleeping I got some good pictures. these are a few and so that is where I begin my blog. In my effort to become a photographer and take you along my journey as I get more experience and hopefully become better while learning the tricks of the trade.
